Atlas, the Greek titan who was condemned by Zeus to stand at the western edge of the Earth and hold up the heavens on his shoulders. Zeus may have eased up on him, as now Atlas is content to just hold up a book of the heavens and Earth! This playful image is a funny way of reinterpreting myth and our relationship with the old and new. Do you still look at maps in an Atlas? It will be sure to draw snickers and comments!
